Due to increasing digitalization of Customs and Carriers – it would be desireable if e.g. the movement reference numbers (MRN) for export can be submitted accordingly.
Currently there is no specific entry field with a function for this.
E.g. UPS API (Worldship) uses it. It will likely become compulsory to have it beside the actual paperwork attached to the parcel.
For international shipment > 1000 EUR Customs need to be filed
and the Movement Reference Number (MRN) identifies the shipment and Customs status for smooth handling by the carrier
Currently only option is to enter it at the NOTES field – however, no function in API of carriers is implemented.
